Jon and Kate + 8
As a child did you ever watch "The Brady Bunch" and wonder what life would be like if you had six children? Jon and Kate + 8, a reality television show that airs on TLC answers the question what would life be like if you had eight children - and it's nothing like the 70's television show.
Jon and Kate + 8 follows the lives of Jon and Kate Gosselin and their eight children: twins Cara and Madelyn and sextuplets Alexis, Aaden, Colin, Leah, Hanna and Joel. It's a real "day in the life" program, as Kate is adamant that the show be reflective of their life and not scripted. Viewers will see it all - the good, the bad and the ugly (like the episode where we see poop on the floor).
The show began with an hour long special called "Surviving Sextuplets and Twins." The Gosselin family was contacted to do this show because they were the only family with twins and sextuplets. During that show Kate showed her post pregnancy belly which prompted a response from a very generous viewer, the wife of a plastic surgeon. Her husband offered to do a tummy tuck for her and thus their second hour long special "Surviving Sextuplets and Twins One Year Later" was filmed and aired.
The show originally aired on the Discovery Health channel but beginning with Season 3 new episodes air on TLC on Monday nights.
Besides the half hour long episodes, there have been two hour long episodes detailing family vacations. Jon and Kate Hit the Road - Gosselins go to Disneyworld and Gosselins Go Skiing.
