The Bachelorette

The Bachelorette is a spin-off of the popular ABC reality tv show The Bachelor. The basic format for this show is the same as The Bachelor, but the roles are reversed: Instead of a group of women competing for one man, a group of men are selected to compete for one woman. This series lasted from January 2003 until February of 2005. When it was first introduced, this show continued the legacy of The Bachelor, and it was quite popular among its target audience.

Season Four

Season Four is set to start on May 19, 2008. The Bachelorette for this season will be DeAnna Pappas.

Bachelorette Recaps

The Bachelorette: J.P. Gets the Final Rose
Posted: 1 Aug 2011
It was the season finale of “The Bachelorette.”  Both J.P. and Ben met Ashley’s parents, brother, and sister. For J.P., that turned out to be a problem.  Ashley’s sister just wasn’t feeling it with him.  She told Ashley he wasn’t the one for her and Ashley tried to talk to her, but nothing was resolved.  […]

The Bachelorette: Constantine Leaves the Show
Posted: 25 Jul 2011
The “Bachelorette” gang was in Fiji, but there was a surprise…Ryan was back.  Yes, not getting a rose before the home town dates was not enough to deter him from coming back, asking for just one more chance.  He told Ashley he would wait on her to decide if she wanted to give him one […]

The Bachelorette: Ames Goes Home
Posted: 19 Jul 2011
It must really suck to make it to home date week on “The Bachelorette” then get cut. This week was hometown dates for Ames, J.P., Ben, and Constantine.  For J.P., Ashley went to New York where he was raised in an affluent neighborhood.  He took her roller skating and although he and his family mentioned […]

The Bachelorette: Ryan and Lucas Leave
Posted: 11 Jul 2011
Tonight was an important night on “The Bachelorette.”  Whoever made it through tonight would get to take Ashley home to meet their family. However, before that could happen, two of the six had to be eliminated.  There were three one-on-one dates and a group date.  The only rose was for the group date. Constantine and […]

Season Three of The Bachelorette

The bachelorette for this season was Jennifer Schefft, who was selected by Andrew Firestone during the third season of the Bachelor, but broke up with him by the end of the show. During the final ceremony, she made a decision which had not yet been made in previous seasons: She turned down all the bachelor contestants.

Season Two of The Bachelorette

The Bachelorette for the second season was Meredith Phillips. She turned down Bob Guiney, who was the bachelor from season four, and she chose Ian McKee instead. However, the couple broke up by the beginning of 2005. It should be noted that Meredith was originally appeared in the fourth season of The Bachelor, but she was not chosen. Some say she got "revenge" on Bob by not choosing him when she was The Bachelorette.

Season One of The Bachelorette

The Bachelorette from the first season was Trista Rehn, who also appeared as a contestant in the first season of The Bachelor. She chose Ryan Sutter as her suitor, and the couple was married in a live television event in December of 2003. Their marriage was one of the most highly rated events on reality television. In addition to appearing on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, Trista has also appeared on Dancing with the Stars and Fear Factor. She has gained a great deal of popularity in the reality show world.
